Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju has counseled Genk of Belgium Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu to keep his club form and continue to deliver despite been continuously overlooked by the National team handler Gernot Rohr in the main list of players called up for national team duty.
Adepoju speaking in a chat with brila.net advised the Nigerian striker not to despair or allow his current national team snub to affect his game at club level with the latest national team replacement happening on Monday when Henry Onyekuru was preferred as the chosen one from the list of standby players following the injury to Bordeaux of France attacking player Samuel Kalu.
“He should be proud of himself and the national team is not a birthright of anybody and it shouldn’t be an issue for him that will affects him at his club. But I believe he is going to be called at some time if he continues scoring goals for his club.”
