Kelvin Akpoguma says he is delighted to bag his league goal for his club TSG Hoffeinheim on Saturday.
The reliable defender scored in Hoffenheim 4-2 come back victory against alredy relegated Schalke 04 at the Prezero Arena.
The Nigeria international scored the equalizer for his team by heading home Andrej Kramaric’s corner.
Reacting to the result, Akpoguma said he feels great to get his first league for the club.
”We did well with Andrej’s goal and my equaliser. For me it was of course great to score the first Bundesliga goal after such a long time. I’ll let that sink in now – and then enjoy,’ Akpoguma said in an interview with the club’s media team.
Akpoguma also admitted that the team didn’t start well, but they were lucky to turn the result around.
“The first half wasn’t good, we wanted to show a different face. Soit was important that we equalize quickly and get the game on ourside.” He concluded.
Hoffenheim remain 11th on the table with 39 points from 32 matches played so far.
