Alex Iwobi’s 6th NLD ends in a draw at Wembley

Alex Iwobi played all 90 minutes in North London derby at the Wembley Stadium as Arsenal were held to 1-1 by the City rival Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in a premier league match.

Iwobi made his 26th league app this season and his 6th NLD app [in all competitions] since his promotion to the senior team.

The Nigerian youngster put in another impressive performance to earn a 7.2 rating per whoscore.com; third highest by a Gooner on the pitch at any time during the game.

However, the Winger is yet to break his goal duck in the derby and on the day although he attempted two shots, his best contribution came in possession retention.

On the day, it was Arsenal who took the lead through Aaron Ramsey in the opening 16 minutes.

It wasn’t until the 74th minute before the hosts stung from the penalty spot and it was Arsenal’s nemesis, Harry Kane with his 9th in the derby and 16 league goals this season.

There was late drama though when Arsenal were awarded a penalty of their own, however, Hugo Lloris guessed right to beat away Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s effort.

Four minutes later the visitors were reduced to 10-men following Lucas Torreira’s sending off for a nasty tackle on Spurs’ left back, Danny Rose.
