Amunike hails history maker Egbo, wants more opportunities for Nigerian coaches

Former Tanzania coach Emmanuel Amunike has applauded ex-international teammate and history maker Emmanuel Egbo who became the first African coach to win a European title as a Manager. 

Amuneke in an exclusive chat with brila.net says he was happy with Ndubuisi Egbo giant strides in Albania after winning the League and also for qualifying FK Tirana for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
”This giant stride is a very important thing to Nigerian coaches you know,’ Amunike told brila.net.
“I think to have to qualified his team for UEFA champions league means a lot about giving chances and opportunities, there are no limits to what a Nigerian coach can do,”
The former U20 flying eagles and U17 world cup winning coach expressed gladness and he also sent his congratulatory message to the former Nigerian goalkeeper.
”The most important thing is we are happy for Ndubuisi and I congratulate him and wish him well towards establishing his team in the UEFA champions league.

Egbo’s Tirana will now be placed in the second round of qualification in Europe’s elite club competition, where Egbo will be aiming to create further history for managers from the African continent.

 

 

The 46-year-old, who was part of Nigeria’s 2000 and 2002 Africa Cup of Nations squads, could make it a domestic double when they face-off against Teuta in the Albanian Cup final on 2 August.
