Nigerian striker Anthony Okpotu scored a brace as Qatar Sporting Club sealed an easy 3-1 victory over Al-Sailiya on Sunday in the Qatar Stars League.
Okpotu’s brace came in the first half and it inspired his side to an important win at the Hamad bin Khalifa stadium.
The 26 year-old opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the encounter, connecting with a good pass from his teammates.
He completed his brace four minutes later as his side continued to dominate the game.
The home side responded through Senegalese forward Kara Mbodji. He halved the deficit on the stroke of half time.
Qatar SC sealed the win with two minutes left on the clock, with a strike from Algerian winger Mohamed Youcef Belaïli.
The victory moved Qatar SC to fifth on the log with 15 points from 9 matches in the Qatari premier league .
