Taiwo Awoniyi scored a brace for Union Berlin against his former Club Mainz 05 at the Mewa Arena on Sunday.
Awoniyi was on the pitch for 84 minutes and was unstoppable against his former employers.
The hosts took the lead in the first half, when Nigerian born Austria forward Karim Onisiwo set up Marcus Ingvatsen.
The goal was later canceled out by Awoniyi on the 61st minute. German midfielder Max Kruse was the creator as he played a perfect pass to the path of Awoniyi.
The former Liverpool forward completed his brace with another fine finish on the 73rd minute and it was enough to give Union Berlin the maximum points.
The striker has been directly involved in ten goals (8 goals and 2 assists) in twelve matches for Union Berlin this season.
