Super Eagles midfielder Ramon Azeez was in action for Cartagena FC as they defeated Kenneth Omeruo’s Leganes 1-0 in Spanish Segunda match at Cartagonova on Friday.
Azeez tasted who action for 90 minutes was yellow-carded in the 24th minutes of the match for a foul on opponents.
The game was the 28-year-old fourth appearance for the since joining on loan from premier division side back in January 2021.
Ruben Castro scored the only goal for the game from the penalty spot in the 57th minutes, but Cartagena finished the game with nine players as Raul Navas and Nacho Gil were sent off.
Azeez’ compatriot Kenneth Omeruo also featured for Leganes and he was also booked in the 54th minute for a foul.
The victory moved Cartagena to the 17th spot with 28 points while Leganes are in the fourth spot with 49 points.
