Bala Nikyu Gloats after Nasarawa ends Abia Warriors Unbeaten Run

Nasarawa United head Coach Bala Nikyu was a delighted man as he celebrated his side’s win over Abia Warrior, and the victory ended ended the latter’s 8-match unbeaten run.

Silas Nwankwo scored an hat-trick, while Chinedu Ohanachum and Ikenna Offor also got on the score sheet as Nasarawa United trounced Abia Warriors 5-3 at the Lafia Township Stadium.

 

Fatai Abdullahi also scored a brace for Abia Warriors, while Godwin Obaje scored the other goal, but it wasn’t enough to preserve their unbeaten run.

 

Speaking after the game, Nikyu said, “The beauty of the game is all about scoring. I am very sure that if anybody heard about today’s match, they’ll be thrilled by the goal margin. 8 goals in one match is unbelievable.”

 

On ending Abia Warriors incredible  unbeaten run, Bala Nikyu said defeat in football is inevitable as all teams will have their shares.

 

“It’s not about being unbeaten for 8 games, we ourselves started with 6 games unbeaten run, and It got to a time when we were beaten. So loss in football is inevitable.”

 

Bala Nikyu will lead his boys to Ilorin where they will take on league leaders Kwara United in their next game.
