Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba was the subject of burglary while in Italy on Champions League duty, according to reports in Spain.
Police are investigating that the Spain international’s home, in the neighbourhood of La Bonanova, was broken into on Monday evening.
According to La Vanguardia, police in Catalunya are investigating the attempt on his home, where thieves entered the house through the garden before forcing a window blind on the second floor.
It’s claimed that thieves attempted to force the safe and ransacked drawers in the upstairs rooms, while members of Alba’s family were sat downstairs unaware.
It is unknown if the assailants left with anything of value, while a 24-hour security guard was reportedly unaware of what had occurred.
