Bassey, Aribo and Balogun arrives Super Eagles camp

New boy Calvin Bassey has arrived the country alongside Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying tie against the Central African Republic.

Bassey who snubbed Italy and England in favor of Nigeria was handed his first call up to the Super Eagles last week.

The left back arrived the team’s Eko Hotel camp on Monday night. He was joined by his clubmates Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo, who are also expected to feature in the game.

The arrival of the Scottish based trio takes the number of players in camp to sixteen, while others are expected to arrive today.

The Super Eagles will host Central African Republic at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Thursday, before going to Doula for the second meeting four days later.

Nigeria is leading the Group with six points from two games, while the Central African Republic occupied the bottom of the log with just a point.
