Bazuaye satisfied with Insurance draw at Remo Stars

Bendel insurance of Benin coach, Baldwin Bazuaye says he’s satisfied with the performance of his team after marking their 11-year return to the NPFL with a 1-1 draw with fellow Newcomers Remo Stars on Sunday.

The Benin Arsenal took the lead early in the second half through Charles Omokaro before Victor Mbaoma scored in the 74th minutes to rescue a for Remo Stars.

However, Bazuaye told Brila.net’s Seyi Alao after the game that his boys tried and must be commended.

“We are satisfied with the point, this was how we started last year and this year we have started like too, but we must go home and work on our home game.”

He stressed further that it was not an easy task for his side to pick a point away from home and he’s happy their efforts were rewarded.

“For us to pick a point here, we planned and worked hard for it, the coach added.

“After the one week stretch in the super eight, we came home to rest and you can see the results.

The Edo State Government has set a continental ticket target before the team but Bazuaye said he’s not thinking about now.

“It’s just too early to chase continental ticket,  we don’t come and talk anyhow to press, but will work hard and do our thing”.
