Chelsea Legend John Terry Retires… Thanks Mikel Obi and Co for Amazing Memories

23 years after he racked up Five Premier League title; as many FA Cup honors, one UCL and UEL plus a Legendary status; former Chelsea captain and teammate of Mikel Obi, John Terry has called time on his playing career aged 37.

Terry, a Chelsea academy product enjoyed an illustrious club career side by side with the Nigerian duo of Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, and he expressed his appreciation for their support throughout his captaincy.

 

The Former England international announced the decision on Instagram on Sunday night and it had already got over 230 thousand likes since it was put up.

 

He posted a picture of himself hoisting the premier league trophy – the last he won as a Chelsea player – with and open letter.

 

The first lines read:

After 23 incredible years as a footballer, I have decided now is the right time to retire from playing. JT26
