Chukwueze thrilled to back after five-month injury

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is delighted to be back on the field after five-month injury lay off.

Chukwueze has been out of action after picking up an injury in Villarreal’s Europa league semi-final match against Arsenal back in May.

Samuel Chukwueze finally made his return for the Yellow Submarine against Osasuna last Sunday.

He replaced Nigerian born Dutch winger Arnaut Danjuma in the 78th minute as Unai Emery’s men bowed 2-1 at home to Osasuna.

The 22-year-old took to his social media to express his excitement, and showed appreciation to Villarreal’s medical staffs.

“It has been God all through…feels good to be back, I just want to say thank you, Dr Adolfo Munoz Macho, Simon Bueno, Jordi Vives, Angel Torres and all the physiotherapists who made it possible for me to be back playing. I really appreciate,” Chukwueze wrote on Instagram.
