Dani Carvajal: I’d give myself a fail for this season

Dani Carvajal who is in his 6th season at Real Madrid has confessed that this season has been one of the hardest of his career as a professional and has marked himself on a scale of 4, “a fail, I go with what the group is, and we’ve not done things well.

But wants to work harder to win again with Madrid and would not mind retiring wearing ‘white’ when the time comes.

Dani finds it hard to open up in a difficult time when he is struggling and likes to be alone to think but says “My partner, my friends, my family, and my circle suffer with me”. Following Real Madrid exit from the Champions League, he said “I slept very little that night”.

For Dani Carvajal, Julen Lopetegui is the best coach ever at Real Madrid though not comparing with anyone and believes all he lacked while in charge was luck “I always try to take good things from coaches, but he impressed me the most. Since he met me with the Under-18s he has lived football like me, with impetus and with emotion. I connect with him.”

Carvajal who would love to be a coach after retiring insists that Madrid will get back to its best next season “In 2020 real Madrid will be a winner, with desire, dominating the world and fighting for everything in the month of April.”
