Enyimba saw their bid for the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup title come to a end in the semi-final on Wednesday night as they fell 2-1; 3-1 on aggregate, to Raja Casablanca at the Mohamed V Stadium.
Heading into the game with a 1-0 deficit to pay back, Enyimba couldn’t lift themselves to get an early goal and perhaps calm nerves.
Rather, the Nigerian side went behind in the first half and at that point the fight appeared lost.
No further goal will be scored until the 88th minute as Enyimba defender Isiaka Oladuntoye put the ball in his own net; ending any hopes of a comeback for Elephants.
Enyimba will eventually register a goal in the tie; a cracker yet a consolation coming on 89 minutes, but it was a little to late and they crashed out of the competition.
