Tyronne Ebuehi made the difference as he netted the only goal of the game between Empoli and Sampdoria at the Stadio Castellani on Monday.
Ebuehi started for the Tuscans and it was his nineth game in the Serie A this season.
The game was closely contested and was heading to a dreaw before the Nigerian international scored the winner.

Sampdoria scored through Gambian centre-back Omar Volley in the stoppages after a free kick, but centre referee Alberto Santoro disallowed the goal after VAR intervention.

According to DAZN, Sampdoria’s complaints continued inside the tunnel, where a staff member of the Blucerchiati was sent off.
