President FIBA Africa zone 3 Rtd. Col Samuel Ahmedu has revealed that last minutes efforts are in place to help salvage Rivers Hoopers participation at the fast approaching Afro basketball league group stage in Morocco.
Ahmedu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Porthacourt based side will still participate in the Afro basketball league which starts in two days time after the FIBA Zone 3 champion Rivers Hoopers had pressed the panic button on withdrawal due to non-release of funds from the State Government.
