Plateau United skipper, Elisa Golbe said he’s optimistic about their chances in the 2020-2021 CAF Champions League campaign.
Plateau United qualified for next season’s edition after finishing on top of the Nigeria professional football league log with 49 points from 25 games, with a Points Per Game coefficient of 1 .96.
Plateau United last participated in the African biggest club football competition three years ago, but they failed to reach the lucrative group stage.
While speaking to Brila.net on their chances of going far in the tournament, Golbe said the team has learned from their previous outing in the competition and are determined to fight for good results, either home or away.

The hard-tackling defender also added that the management are leaving no stones unturned regarding the team’s preparation for the domestic and continental campaign.
“The management and the coaches are also doing their best to make sure we do better and I’m quite sure some news players will be joining the team.” He concluded.
