Former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit expressed skepticism regarding Victor Osimhen’s suitability for the Premier League side.

Amidst rumors linking Osimhen with a move to Chelsea in the summer, Petit questioned the Nigerian striker’s compatibility with the team’s needs.

With Chelsea facing challenges in their attacking lineup, Osimhen has emerged as a potential solution to their goal-scoring woes.

Regarded as one of Europe’s premier marksmen, the forward has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and London rivals Arsenal.

However, Petit believes that Osimhen should not be Chelsea’s primary target in the summer transfer window.

“I don’t think Chelsea need Gyokeres or Osimhen. With Chelsea, there are so many players who are not playing to their level and can do so much more,” Petit told Genting Casino.

Osimhen has scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 19 league appearances for Napoli this season and he’s destined to leave Italy this summer.
