Europa League : Olayinka goes off injured for Slavia Prague against Rangers

It was a disappointing night for Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka as he sustained an injury while featuring for Slavia Prague in their Europa League game with Rangers.

Olayinka, 25, started the match and stayed on for just the first 45 minutes as he was replaced by Lukáš Masopust because of the injury.

Before he picked up the injury, Olayinka assisted Slavia Prague’s goal scored by Nico Stanic in the opening seventh minute.

He flicked a ball into the path of Nico Stanciu, who had the ball on the edge of the penalty area before curling it beautifully into the far post.

The lead only lasted for 30 minutes as Rangers drew level thanks to Filip Hellander who tapped Ianis Hagi’s low cross into the net from close range.

But it ended in a draw, both sides failed to find the winner in the second half of the encounter.

Meanwhile another Super Eagles player, Joe Aribo was on parade for the Gers at the Eden Arena.

Aribo was replaced by Kemar Roofe but his compatriot Leon Balogun didn’t make the match day squad for Rangers.
