Everton’s under-23 on Monday, got their hands on the Premier League 2 trophy, but only after having lost to rivals Liverpool. The Toffees had already secured the title heading into the final game of the season.
But they would not have wanted to end their campaign with a to their neighbours, who finish in third place behind Manchester City.
The visitors put out a strong team, including several players who have had first-team minutes this season, including both goalscorers, Sheyi Ojo and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
