Iheanacho’s masterclass vs Palace strengthens Leicester City’s UCL charge

Super Eagles of Nigeria star Kelechi Iheanacho was on target again for Brendan Rodgers led Leicester City football club in their comeback victory over Crystal Palace FC at the King Power Stadium on Monday.

The former Manchester City star did not only scored the winner, but he also provided an assist for the Leicester City equalizer.

The visitors took the lead through Ivorian star Wilfred Zaha in the 12th minutes, after receiving an assist from Ebere Eze.

Kelechi Iheanacho set up Belgian defender Timothy Castagne for the equalizer before the Super Eagles star netted the spectacular winning goal in the 80th minutes to end the match 2-1.

Kelechi Iheanacho has now scored 20 premier league goals, despite starting just 12 league games this season.

The forward has also netted 14 goals in his last 14 appearances for Leicester in all competitions, as many as he managed in his previous 76 for the Foxes.

The victory means Leicester City strengthed Leicester City’s quest for Champions League football as they remain third in the Premier League table with 62 points from 33 matches played.
