Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun suffered an injury on Saturday in 1. FSV Mainz 05’s Bundesliga match against FC Koln.
Balogun lasted on 17 minutes on his 17th appearance for the club in the league this season.

The 28-year-old had only recently returned from a two-month injury lay off; featuring only six times for the club since his return in February.
The Nigerian International has also been starved of proper game action, completing 90 minutes football in only two league matches in 2017 – and four matches for both club and country.
The club is yet to give a full report on the extent of the injury, but Mainz 05 eventually went on to lose 2-0 against FC Koln.
His situation will however be a cause of concern for the national team Coaches.
Leon Balogun was invited as one of seven defenders for the Super Eagles friendly matches against Corsica and Togo on 26 May and 1 June respectively.
