Nigeria professional football league clubs will be allowed to make five substitutions in the 2020-2021 season.
According to reports by Felele247.com.ng, League organizers LMC gave the clubs green light for the five substitutions in a game, because of the fears that players might sustain injuries due to involvement in several matches.
The date for the commencement of the 2020-2021 season is yet to be announced, but reports had it that the Nigeria Football Federation and the League Management Company are looking at the possibility of November.
The league 2019-2020 campaign ended abruptly in March due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.
