Josh Maja finally rediscovered his scoring boot after seven games without a goal for Girondins Bordeaux in the French Ligue 2.
The Super Eagles striker was on target as Bordeaux defeated Sochaux 2-1 on Friday night.
Maja put Les Girondins ahead on the half hour mark, following a corner kick from the right hand side.
The forward, who last scored for Bordeaux against Metz in October, has now netted 8 goals in 16 appearances this season.
Georgia forward, Zuriko Davitashvili added the second goal for Bordeaux two minutes later, before Sochaux pulled one back in the second half, through Franck Kanoute.
Maja, who has been linked with a return to Premier League, was substituted and replaced by Fransergio Barbosa in the 68th minute.
The hosts finished the game with ten man as French defender Logan Delaurier-Chaubet was sent off with fifteen minutes left to play.
