Terem Moffi was on target for Lorient against Olympic Marseille at the Velodrome on Saturday night.
Moffi has now scored twelve goals in 18 league appearances for Lorient this season.
With the goal, the OGC Nice bound striker moves a goal within Kylian Mbappe, who tops the goal chart in France.
The 23-year-old Nigeria international gave Lorient the lead in the 29th minute of the encounter, but the hosts roared back and won the 3-1.
Former Arsenal full back Saed Kolasinac restored parity seven minutes before the break.
Another ex Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez then put the hosts in front in the 53rd minute.
Marseille then killed any hope of a comeback when French Midfielder Jordan Veretout slammed home the third six minutes later.
Moffi’s countryman Innocent Bonke featured in the game. The midfielder was introduced in the second half and played 27 minutes.
