Moffi subdued in Lorient’s Hard Fought win at Angers

Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi was caged during FC Lorient Ligue 1 game against Angers on Sunday.

Despite Moffi firing blank Lorient FC found a way past their hosts, winning 2-1 away at the Stade Raymond Kopa.

Moffi came into the game searching for his 11th league goal of the season, but it was not meant to be as he was well marshaled by the opposition.

The 23-year-old missed the chance to close the gap on PSG’s Kylian Mbappe (13), Neymar (11), Folarin Balogun and Alexandre Lacazette on scorers’ chart.

Abdallah Sima scored for the home side in the 19th minute, but his own goal in the 79th minute gave Lorient a lifeline.

Enzo Le Fee snatched the three points for the visitors with the winner in the 88th minute for Les Merlus.

Lorient sit seventh in the French top division with 31 points from 17 league matches.
