Napoli Block Victor Osimhen Leaving

Napoli will attempt to tie striker Victor Osimhen to a new deal, in order to keep him from interested suitors.

Osimhen is entering the third year of his contract with Napoli, leaving him with two years on the deal he signed in the summer 2020.

The likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea have shown interests in prising the striker away from the Stadio Maradona Stadium.

The Nigeria striker has become one of the hottest properties in world football since signing for the Partenopei, with Napoli rejecting €100m bid from Manchester and Newcastle in January 2021.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is happy with the growth of the forward and wants him to remain in Naples for a long time.

De Laurentiis is now working on renewal that’ll keep the 23-year-old past the summer of 2025.

Osimhen is Napoli’s top scorer this season, with 10 goals and three assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.
