Kelechi Iheanacho did not return for the second half of Leicester City’s Premier League clash against Manchester City with fears he was rested after an incident in the first half with Goalkeeper Ederson.
It had appeared Iheanacho was clattered into by the Manchester City goalkeeper, but replays showed the Brazilian actually two-fisted punch the forward across the face and his chest.
Neither Tyson Fury of Wilder will land a better punch tonight than Ederson has just landed on Iheanacho. No penalty either. #LCFC

A lobbed ball from James Maddison picked out the Forward’s run, but Ederson truncated any possible scoring outcome and no foul was called, though the player needed quick medical attention and was eventually taken off the pitch.
Iheanacho has not come out for the second half after being chinned by Ederson so Barnes is on. #LCFC

Making only his 9th league appearance this season, the Nigerian paired Jamie Vardy in attack as Brendan Rodgers opted for a 3-5-2 shape with midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Nampalys Mendy and Hamza Choudhury all unavailable.
Leicester City were yet to confirm the extent of Iheanacho’s injury or if his substitution was precautionary.
