Former Technical Director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria Navy Commodore Omatseye Nesiama has suggested a solution that will ensure that Nigeria doesn’t feel the impact of the AFN crisis.
Nesiama speaking in a chat with brila.net said a strong Technical department is what can only ensure Nigeria’s blushes are saved in the Athletics event of the Tokyo Olympics.
“What we need is to have the technical department which now becomes very relevant in the scheme of things, if that Technical department is strong enough, it could be able to still help to manage the athletes properly because the President and the Vice President, those ones are mere ceremonial but if that Technical department is strong and have someone that understands what he is doing and has the pedigree, then the athletes will not suffer.”
