Nigeria Football Federation have opened contract renewal talks with Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum.
The NFF and Waldrum were at loggerheads before the FIFA Women’s World Cup, with reports claiming the American will be allowed to leave once his contract expired.
However, both parties managed to settle their differences and NFF excluded the Falcons coaching job from its list of advertised vacant positions for the women’s national teams, paving way for a renewal.
The upcoming Olympic and African Women’s Championship qualifiers are part of the reasons the Federation kept faith with the former Trinidad and Tobago boss.
On Tuesday, the NFF also announced that it had mandated its technical committee to start negotiation with the gaffer over a deal.
Waldrum’s contract will expire October 31 and the federation is proposing a new one-year deal, which could be in the coming days.

Also, some Super Falcons stars reportedly want Waldrum to say put as head their coach, saying he deserved a new deal.
He led the team to round 26 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup without losing a game in regulation time.
