Vice President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Mukhtar Malone Khaled has stated that prosecuting the World cup qualifiers for the 2019 FIBA world cup in China with all the logistics around it all depends on how serious the government play their own role.

Following the draw for qualification to the 2019 FIBA world cup with Nigeria in Group B alongside Uganda, Rwanda and Mali.
Malone said on the technical ground, Nigeria is good enough to raise two formidable national basketball teams that will achieve the desired objectives of getting Nigeria to the world cup.
Nigeria has been to two FIBA World Cups, 1998 and 2006 and will be hoping to qualify for the World cup 2019 to be held in China.
