Nigerian winger, Chidera Ejuke signs for Russian side CSKA Moscow

Nigeria winger Chidera Ejuke has completed his transfer to Russian side CSKA Moscow on Friday.

The skillful winger left Dutch Eredivisie side Heereveen to sign a four-year contract, with the former Russian champions.

 

“PFC CSKA and Heerenveen have formalized the transition of 22-year-old striker Chidera Edjuke,” reads a statement on CSKA Moscow’s official website.

 

”The Red and Blues have signed a 4-year contract with the striker.

 

“Previously, the Nigerian successfully passed a medical examination.

 

“Welcome to PFC CSKA!. The Club said in a social media post.

 

Ejuke who joined Heerenveen from Norwegian club Valerenga for €2m last summer, became the latest Nigerian to play for the Russian side, after Ahmed Musa and Aaron Samuel.

 

Ejuke scored 10 goals and registered 4 assists in 29 matches for Heereveen last season, he was also was voted into the Dutch Eredivisie team of the season.

 

Ejuke is yet to be capped by the Super Eagles, but the coach of the three-time African champions Gernot Rohr is monitoring his progress.
