Super Eagles Goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu has admitted that the Eagles doesn’t have a first Choice goalkeeper ahead of the fast-approaching Russia 2018 World Cup yet.
Agu spoke to brila.net on Monday and he categorically stated that the choice of who becomes the number 1 goalkeeper for Nigeria will be decided on a level playing ground.
The former Goalkeeper stressed that there is fierce competition for places within the goalkeeping department of the national team and Ikechukwu Ezenwa been handed the number 1 jersey is a clear indication that the position can be manned by any despite Francis Uzoho featuring prominently more with the Super Eagles team recently.
Agu said the technical crew is okay with the competition to become the starter as this will eventually help ensure they get players performing at optimum.
The Super Eagles are currently training at their Austria Camp ahead of Tomorrow’s Pre-World Cup friendly against the Czech Republic.
