Injured Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo is in the race against time to hit full fitness before the June 9 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

Ighalo , who joined Chinese Club Changchun Yatai from Watford FC, suffered an ankle injury on 15 April playing for his CSL club, and has been out of action since.

He’s one more option upfront for Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr despite his struggle for form in the past months.

Speaking with www.brila.net, Ighalo appreciated the German handler’s patient but admits he may not be fully fit before the Bafana Bafana clash.

On whether he’d be disappointed to miss the tie, the 27-year-old said he was open to all options and will ‘respect the Coach’s decision’.
