Sunshine Stars FC officially announce the return of academy alumnus, Dayo Ojo and capture of highly rated rock solid defender, Durand Rock Thuram Gerald in what has been a busy mid season transfer window for the team ahead of the 2nd Stanza of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL) season.
Midfield maestro cum striker, Ojo rejoined Stars following a stint with Sudanese top flight side, Al Merrick while well travelled Beninese defender, Durand Thuram signed with the Austin Eguavoen tutored side after his spell with Mauritanian outfit, Curepipe Starlight SC.
Another academy graduate of Sunshine Stars FC, Seun Olulayo (winger) also rejoined the team alongside his team mate from Abia Warriors, Michael Okoyoh (midfielder) as Cameroonian defender, Isaac Hele Hele returned to Akure from El Kanemi Warriors for a second spell with Stars while Ike Thankgod (defender) completed his switch from Eyimba FC.
Winger, Jolly Osas joins from NPFL Champions, Enugu Rangers, Ezekiel Thompson (attacker) from Wikki Tourists and winger, Ebitimi Agogo signed from 3SC.
Meanwhile, Ojo Olorunleke (Akwa United), Ayo Saka (Rivers United), Samad Quadri (Lobi Stars) and Yahuza Bala officially departed Sunshine Stars FC during the 2016/17 NPFL midseason break while Toyin Abegunde, Yakubu Adam, Folayemi Michael, Akintola Olusoga and Olotu Akinyemi have been drafted to the feeders team, Rising Stars FC.
