English Premier League side Watford have confirmed that Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo will be sidelined for at least five, due to injury.
Watford confirmed the report via their official website on Thursday afternoon.
The statement says: “Peter Etebo tore a quad muscle towards the end of the Newcastle United game last weekend and is expected to be out for between four to five months.”
Etebo was left out Super Eagles squad that will face the Central African Republic in FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.
The former Galatasaray and Las Palmas midfielder is likely to miss next year’s African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
