Coach of Nigeria’s U17 women’s national team Bankole Olowookere has praised the Flamingoes players despite losing out of the bid to win the 2022 FIFA U17 women’s world cup courtesy of a 6-5 penalty shootout loss to Colombia to be at the receiving end of what granted the team progression from the quarter final.
Olowookere speaking in a chat gathered by www.brila.net after the team’s semi final exit said there is no point directing accusing fingers to anyone even those that lost their penalty because it was just unfortunate especially after the team’s supposed penalty specialist missed the crucial kick that would have earned Nigeria a ticket to the final.
