Omeruo, Azubuike Okechukwu Clashed in Turkey

On Friday Kenneth Omeruo and Ikechukwu Okechukwu gained some mileage in the Turkish Super Lig as their sides, Kasimpasa and Yeni Malatyaspor clashed at the Malatya Arena.

The Nigerian Internationals, Omeruo and Azubuike picked their 17th and 16th appearances of the season as both continued in efforts to catch the attention of Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr for the World Cup.

Yeni Malatyaspor scored 4 minutes into the game but saw their lead last only three minutes as the visitors responded in kind.

Also,  sharing the pitch with their Nigerian compatriots on the day on both sides were Emem Eduok and Sincere Seth of Kasimpasa and Yeni Malatyaspor respectively.

However, only Seth and Omeruo would clock 90 minutes in the game as Azubuike and Eduok were subbed off – the latter got booked three minutes before he was replaced.
