Omotayo expresses delight at winning Gold in his debut Africa games outing

Africa games table tennis Men’s singles Gold medalist Jide Omotayo has stated that he is very ecstatic and feels proud after winning the Table tennis Men’s singles Gold in his first Africa games outing for Nigeria.

Omotayo who had won the Men’s table tennis team event Silver with Nigeria before the singles final told brila.net that his feat at the games beating African greats like Ahmed Saleh in the quarter final, Segun Toriola in the semi final and finally Aruna Quadri remains the biggest achievement of his career till date.
“I feel so happy and I am really proud of myself, this been my first time at the Africa games and I was able to win the title.
Winning against Saleh from Egypt, Segun Toriola and Aruna Quadri is the biggest victory I have ever had in my career. I’m really happy and I say a big thanks to the Federation for choosing me to represent Nigeria at the All Africa games.”
