Pyramids 4-1 Enyimba: Austin Oladapo apologizes to fans

Enyimba’s captain Austin Oladapo has apologized to fans of the club and entire football lovers following their embarrassing defeat to Pyramids of Egypt last Sunday.

The Aba Elephants conceded four goals after going ahead in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quater final encounter.

The result leaves Oladapo and his teammates with mountains to climb in the return leg in Aba, which is few days away.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with brila.net, Oladapo said the results was difficult to take after such a bright start to the game.

The midfielder, however, felt sorry for the fans and went on to apologize for the horrible second half performance.

“It was a very sad day for us as a family, we never expected that after playing so well in the first half, coming back to lose contractions, we just have to learn from game like this and move on “

“As the captain of the team, i want really want to apologize to Nigerians and our die hard fans, I know they were expecting much better performance from us but it turned out to be the other way.”

 

“I just want them to keep believing in the team even as we go all out in the return leg in aba” he told brila.net

Enyimba needs at least 3-0 victory in Aba to be guaranteed a place in the last four of the competition.
