Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole said the club is ready to go one step further than last season.
Bankole spoke to www.brila.net after Sunday’s win against El Kanemi Warriors at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne.
“It was a good win for us and keeping a clean sheet makes it much better. Our target is the same, we want to do our best and topple the achievement of last season.
“We have to believe in ourselves and take each game as it comes,” He told www.brila.net
The Sky Blues finished third in the NPFL log last season as they qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in its history.
Daniel Ogunbodede’s side started the new campaign with a 2-0 win over El-Kanemi. Samuel Anakwe and Edidiong Enobong scored in the first half and second half respectively.
The Ikene-based outfit will face Gombe United at the Pantami stadium Wednesday.
