Rivers United are in talks to sign Enyimba midfielder Austine Oladapo ahead of the 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league season.
Oladapo is in the final period of his contract with the People’s Elephant but talks are also going on over possible extension.
Brila.net understands that Rivers United have also open discussions with the influential left-footed midfielder over the possibility of joining them next season.
Sources also revealed to brila.net that the player would only sign a new contract with the former African champions if they agree to his demands.
Oladapo who joined the Aba Elephant from Gombe United contributed eight goals and two assists to help the Fatai Osho’s tutored reach the semi-final of the CAF Confederations cup last season.
He was also a pivotal member of the squad that won the 2018 Nigeria professional football league crown for the club.
