Sakin set to shoulder Horoya’s CAF Confederation cup hopes

Horoya AC of Guinea and Nigerian striker Bolaji Sakin has stated that he is ready to shoulder the hopes of the Guinea Ligue 1 side ahead of next month’s CAF Confederation cup semi-final tie against Pyramids FC of Egypt in faraway Morocco.

The former Rivers united striker speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the fixture is the club’s biggest tie and represents a chance to win a maiden CAF Confederation cup title.
He added that the club counts so much on him and has gotten the blessing of recently retired Burkina Faso strike partner Aristide Bance to exert his influence on the team’s bid for continental glory.
“Horoya is training, for now, we have been training very hard. This is the first time of reaching the semi-finals and it’s our chance to win this cup. We should just concentrate then the rest we leave it for God. The coach is counting on me and all the players are also counting on me because when Bance was here because he just retired from football, he told me that I can be the leader of this team because I have influence in the team and we all have our role to play and we have to do it well.”
