Samuel Kalu stars as Bordeaux came from behind to beat Reims

Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu was impressive as Girondins Bordeaux came from behind to beat Reims at home on Sunday.

The away side took the lead on the 37th minute when Hugo Ekitike converted El Bilal Toure’s pass from close range.

Reims went into the halftime break with a lead and they doubled their advantage on the 62nd minute when El Bilal Toure teed up Bradley Locko to finish from inside the area.

Yacine Adli halved the deficit for Bordeaux on the 73rd minutes, before Samuel Kalu who replaced Remi Oudin, made his presence felt by providing Jimmy Brian’s equalizer for on 76th minute.

Bordeaux completed the comeback with a last-minute penalty kick from Jimmy Brian after Video Assistant Referee ruled in their favor.

Bordeaux will now take on leaders Paris Saint-Germain in their next league outing.
