Sunshine Stars gaffer Edith Agoye Frances his side’s chance against Rivers United, as both sides set to meet in Akure later today.
While Sunshine Stars picked a draw in Gombe, Rivers United earned a narrow win against Lobi Stars during last weekend’s NPFL opener.
Sunshine Stars won the last meeting against Rivers United in Akure, ending the latter’s 12-game unbeaten run in the process.
Speaking ahead of the game, Agoye expressed confidence, that they can repeat the feat.
“It’s not enough for us to be confident but we have to be able to do the job that is necessary for us to win against Rivers United,” the Sunshine Stars coach said.
“They will not be an easy team to play, being the defending champions, but Sunshine Stars are a strong team and we know our strength.
“The boys are ready to go and we want to compliment the away draw with a home win,” He said.
