Super Eagles aiming for 2026 FIFA World Cup glory

Super Eagles Media officer Baba Femi Raji says the team is disappointed for not being at the World Cup, but he is optimistic that they’ll bounce back.

Raji stated that the three times African Champions are now working hard, to make necessary corrections and it’s one of the reasons, behind the recent high profile friendlies.

Since losing to Ghana in the playoff for the Qatar World Cup, Nigeria has played against Algeria, Mexico, Costa Rica and Portugal.

“We’ re a big football nation and the players are all disappointed they will not be going to the World Cup.

“We now have to look ahead and this high-profile match is one of the ways we are already doing so,” Baba Femi Raji disclosed.

The Super Eagles also missed out of the 2006 edition in Germany, losing the ticket to Fabrice Akwa’s led Angola.
