Super Eagles continues preparation ahead clash with Benin Republic

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will continue their preparations towards the Wednesday’s 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with Benin Republic on Tuesday, with few players expected to arrive camp.

 

The number of players currently in camp increased to 14 on Monday as preparation and newly invitee Ifeayin Anaemena expected to arrive the camp for the clash today.

 

Ahmed Musa who returning to the after the 2019 AFCON is in the camp, alongside Everton forward Alex Iwobi and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, as well as nine other players, are in camp.

 

Meanwhile Lokomotiv Moscow defender Brian Idowu has withdrawn from the sqaud over passport issues and Enyimba ’s defender Ifeanyi Anaemena has been drafted in as a replacement.

 

Nigeria will tackle the Squirrels of Republic of Benin in their opening Group L 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Wednesday and later travel to Setsoto Stadium for the second tie with Lesotho on Sunday

Ahmed Musa , Alex Iwobi, Ndidi, Maduka Okoye, Jamilu Collins and Ramon Azeez,  Chidozie Awaziem, SemiAjayi, Ola Aina, Kenenth Omeruo, Samuel Kalu and Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
