Nigerian winger Nathan Tella says Bayer Leverkusen are determined to maintain their unbeaten run following the historic German Bundesliga victory.

Leverkusen secured their first Bundesliga title with a resounding 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen, ending Bayern Munich’s eleven-year reign.

Under the leadership of Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen clinched the title with five games remaining and are still undefeated in all competitions.

Speaking on the next target for the team, Tella firmly believes Leverkusen will continue to focus with intent on their upcoming fixtures.

“The way that this team is, everyone has been so important this season from the first game against Leipzig. Everyone has played a part, everyone is as important.

“We’re still unbeaten, which is another thing we want to continue, and take it into the game on Thursday (against West Ham),” he added.

Leverkusen’s focus now shifts to their upcoming fixture against West Ham United in the Europa League.

With a two-goal advantage from the first leg, the German champions aim to secure their spot in the semi-finals by avoiding defeat against West Ham.
