Terem Moffi surpasses Osimhen’s French Ligue un goal record

Terem Moffi scored his first-ever career hat-trick in the French Ligue one to lead his club Lorient to victory over Girondins Bordeaux at the Stade du Moustoir.

 

The highly-rated striker has now scored 15 in this campaign and definitely a top contender for the Marc Vivien for award.

 

Moffi has now surpassed the 13 goals scored by Victor Osimhen who won the award last season before leaving Lille for Napoli.

 

Yoane Wissa gave Lorient in the 18th minutes, before setting up Moffi for the second two minutes later

 

Moffi doubled his tally with two minutes before the half time break, when he finished off a pass Trevoh Chalobah.

 

The Nigerian forward completed his hat-trick the ten minutes left to play, off another assist from Fabien Lemoine.

 

Issouf Sissokho scored a consolation goal for relegation-threatened Bordeaux in the 83rd minutes of the encounter.

 

Nigeria international Samuel Kalu featured for Bordeaux in the match, the winger was introduced in the second half for Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri.
